Place Value

Today at Maths time we practised making 2 digit numbers.

Week Two

This week in action stations Our main focus is on participating and contributing. We've discovered we are good at participating most of the time, but need to work on adding something to the group by using feedback or asking questions. We are also working on asking deeper questions that can have many different answers. We are getting better at this and it will be fun to investigate our questions shortly! 

Week One Term Three

This term our inquiry is Participating and Contributing. At the moment we know that participating means joining in. Contributing means sharing ideas and giving something. 

At the writing action station we contributed by giving feedback. 

At construction we contributed by sharing ideas. 

During drama we participated by joining in and contributed by sharing our ideas about how the play could change. 

We can't wait to learn more about participating and contributing. 

Setting up the room

On Monday the children set up he room to suit their learning. This helps to give them ownership of the space they work in.

We love to hear about all the different things the students do out of school. What a great picture! 

Week 11

Welcome to the last week for Term 2! We are busy making some wonderful art works this week. We have been making Zentangles. To do this we have to section off a line drawing (we used a cat) and put different tiny patterns into each section. It takes a lot of time but we think that they look awesome.

We are working on speeding up the recall of our basic facts this week in maths.

Our X factor practice is going well we look forward to performing in front of the class.

We are sad to lose Kaia this term. She has been a valuable member of the class we will all miss her great smile and friendly, helpful attitude. Come back and visit sometime soon Kaia.
