On Friday we were lucky enough to have Mel Young a Science Teacher from Southland Girls High School visit the class and share some amazing science activities with us. Mel showed us how dry ice doesn’t melt but evaporates. When the dry ice was put into balloons they got bigger all by themselves! We also saw how acids turn a universal indicator red, orange or yellow while bases make it turn blue or green. We had lots of fun watching and trying out all the experiments Mrs Young brought with her. We want to say a big thank you to Mrs Young and say  “We LOVE science”.
