GEOMETRY MANIA!

Today we began looking at shapes and structures in our Math Action Stations. Some of us have started to create 'Shape Pizzas' while others began to build their 3D structures. I wonder how many different shapes we will use?

Spelling

We practise our spelling each day. Here Abigail is reading out the words for Harvey and Keeley to write on the window. "I like writing on the window" said Keeley.

Market Day Fun!

Here we are enjoying the sunshine and supporting the senior students with their camp fundraiser. We had crazy hair, crazy food and lots of crazy games! Thanks very much seniors - we have had a wonderful afternoon 😃

Making a house for a mouse!

Rawe are starting to look at construction as part of our Inquiry. Here we are designing our Mouse House as part of our Action Stations this morning.

Dream Weaver Visit

Today we were lucky enough to have the Dream Weaver come and tell us some stories. She has been visiting as part of our inquiry by belonging to a group. The group she belongs to is one of story tellers. Thanks for sharing your wonderful stories and songs Dream Weaver, we loved them!

What a busy week Rawe have been having!

We have been looking at the groups that we belong to at school and outside of school. We have also been looking at groups in the community that help us, such as the Police, Government, Council, Ambulance Service and First Aide people and lots of others.

We have been looking at our Kotahitanga "Show caring towards others" and have talked about how that would look, sound and feel in Rawe. Our Big Books and Poems have helped us with this.

Well done to all of our students that are organised with their sun hats. All children are expected to have these ready for next week, so we are all ready to be SunSmart when the sunny days come back! There are a couple of students who still need to find/get a sun hat.

Place Value Building

We have been building with the place value blocks and then adding up their value. Some add to more than 1,000!
