As part of our Under The Sea study we have been making sea creatures. We are using salt dough to make our sea animals and looking at pictures to help us make them realistic. We keep improving what we make by getting feedback and making changes. They look great!

We are focussing on measurement in the Action Station room and as you can see we are measuring all kinds of things. We have been comparing lengths of things and finding out if they were shorter, longer or the same as a paper clip or an ice cream stick.

Hi Everyone,
We had a pretty exciting first week at school as you can see by some of the photos below. We are really pleased that we have such wonderful parent help in our classroom.  We are looking for a couple more people who could help on a Friday morning with the basic facts and spelling testing.  If that sounds like you let Evelyn or Natalie know.  The grounds are quite muddy at the moment. It would be very helpful if you could pack some spare clothes for the children to change into.  Thanks for your support.

We have been practising our goal scoring and goal keeping skills in the Activity Centre today. This is building on our ability to control the ball which we worked on last term.

Our Inquiry for this term is Under the Sea. We have been using recorders, glockenspiels, drawing, dance and sand play dough to explore and express our ideas about what we think happens under the sea. Here we are developing our ability to play the recorder.

Each day we work on basic facts games to help us learn and pass our basic facts flash cards. Abigail and Harvey are practising subtraction facts using frogs and lily pads. Keep it up girls and you will soon move up another step on our new basic facts ladder.
